1937 Lagonda Rapier The Granville Grenfell Special Sold or Removed
GPB 130 was built by John Granville Grefnell Ltd at their workshops within the circuit at Brooklands for Brooklands racer and pilot Hamish Scott as the first of a three car Rapier Works Racing Team reputedly for Le Mans. Only in its forth ownership from new, the second owner owned it from 1938-1992. Accompanied by one of the most impressive history files I have seen, including and extensive photographic record, original Buff log book dating back to 1947, and its current VSCC beige form. An award winner with the VSCC and Lagonda Club at Silverstone, Goodwood, Loton Park and its home Brooklands. With a fabulous continuous history dating back to its creation in 1937, this is a unique opportunity to be the fifth ever owner of this fabulously original and significant pre-war sports racing car and rare piece of Brooklands history.
